I hope that are able to redistribute the employees rather than toss them all out on the street.Baley Petersenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15217798839187799797noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7392998838779655286.post-69515233968037146562010-12-20T10:56:45.202-08:002010-12-20T10:56:45.202-08:00My only regret when it comes to losing borders wou...My only regret when it comes to losing borders would be for the employess that will lose their jobs. I feel for them. Not for borders itself, powell's is such a better bookstore in everyway i never have to pay more than $5 for a book there and they have everything under the sun and are local. Nah, I won't miss border for a secAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7392998838779655286.post-84315919202007380442010-12-12T04:38:53.989-08:002010-12-12T04:38:53.989-08:00I'm sorry that Borders can't make it near ...I'm sorry that Borders can't make it near you. We have two very close by and two Barnes and Noble stores, as well! I found a delicious used book store a while ago, it is absolutely a mess with rare titles and piles of peoples' basement stashes. I confess, I order scads of books from Amazon because I find them used in little shops all over America. I buy piles of books at the Scholastic book fairs. Target even has a lot of good titles. You know, we don't have anything like Powell's around here but Scott's Bookstore up in Mt. Vernon, Washington closed and my mama was very sad.Pom Pomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01524994024698986829noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7392998838779655286.post-1115641337113907882010-12-07T12:31:06.361-08:002010-12-07T12:31:06.361-08:00Well, I have spent $55 at Powell's. And maybe ...Well, I have spent $55 at Powell's. And maybe even more at any given time. I suppose the driving force behind my splurge was the deals. An already inexpensive store was offering their goods at even lower prices. I couldn't resist! I blame my addiction. I am a bookaholic.Baley Petersenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15217798839187799797noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7392998838779655286.post-63717610622667960112010-12-07T12:27:58.452-08:002010-12-07T12:27:58.452-08:00Do you think you would have spent that $55 at Powe...Do you think you would have spent that $55 at Powells? It sounds like you only spent that amount because the bargain was there at Borders to be had.Stephenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15097908023032528200noreply@blogger.com
